What would you do if an important position in your company doesn’t perform properly? Would you fire the employee? Ok. You have the responsibility to fire, but please find another one as fast as possible or it could be a disaster.

Because the managerial functions include planning, controlling, leading, organizing, and evaluating; should be done by someone.

It is really a disaster going on; imagine if the CEO (chief executive officer), who is responsible for the main managerial functions, doesn’t not exist! What would be the situation in that organization? Surly there is a job vacancy!

Unfortunately, this is the situation in the most important organization in your life; it’s your life. The job of the manager of your life still vacancy, because the CEO left his/her job or I don’t know maybe just ignored it.

Have you planned for your life? I know your life is very important to you but planning will give a purpose for your life. In planning, managers usually set their goals and objectives, their values, their vision, and their mission statement. Prepare your strategic plans for the next 3 or 5 years; plan for the success of your goals.

Your life is a limited period of time which cannot be extended. You need to increase the productivity of your work and you need to save the most expensive resource of your life, which is the time. So you agree that you need to organize your life.

Controlling over your choices is the way to your dreams. After setting all the goals and ambitions it is impossible to achieve if you would not conduct your mission, you vision, and your values. All you decisions should be taken as “holey decisions” or at least some of them. You need to be sure that your life is not in hands of someone else. Your mind should be the king that determine the time of playing as for as the time of working.

Leading, or sometimes called coordinating; an important function in managerial life due to the humans committed with the managers. You are a human with a mixture of emotions and logics. You need to incentive your self to do the things. You need to have an optimistic approach even when it looks dark, because you are a human need to be active and motivated to do the things. Yes do motivate yourself by yourself; find your own ways of motivations.

The last but not the least is the evaluating or in another words “Performance Measurement”. You need to create your own dash-board or your own gages to focus on your main purpose. It is not something at the end of the job; it starts from the beginning till the end to catch if any activity runs out of the drawn path. It is just like your car; how much the gages are important for you to drive?

Last to say, all of these previous functions need a time to be done. Again it cannot be done in 0 seconds; take the job and give it two hours shift per day and believe me: your life will be better to live.
