Water and Environment
June 14th, 2006

Why should we wait till troubles start happening? Why don’t we take a step further and resolve the problems before it gets worse and complicated?
Should we wait till the day where it is too difficult to find clean fresh water? Or we will wait till the day we have to wear masks to prevent our lungs?
Water issues are certainly going to be worse in near future; it is a matter of 1+1 and for sure it is going to be acute problem. In Saudi Arabia, we are already desalinating sea water to drink and we don’t have any rivers or lakes. Those desalination stations feed up to 26 million of people and they are not totally sufficient.
We have only one planet to live in and if we destroy it by pollution we will have to get a feel to dirty land and sea.
On contrary with mass production we now have the mass destruction to our unique environment. If ancestors could destroy an acre in a month we can do it in an hour.
Also the change in weather due to massive manipulating in the balance of our normal environment, such as producing huge heat, and poisoning the air by industrial smoke would definitely harm the future of us and our children.

We are the sons of today; lets take a look and do what might be difficult tomorrow. How is that? There are many variables to consider, spreading the concern about environment is one of them. Take your part and think of it.
